What’s Your Business Personality?

Take this quick 7-question quiz to discover how you work best, so I can give you curated resources to help you start (or revive) a business that fits your life and actually makes money too.

After more a decade running HomeMadeLovely.com — where I helped thousands of women simplify and style their homes — I know what it’s like to juggle motherhood, business, and everything in between. I’ve created and sold digital products, published books, learned what works (and what doesn’t), and rebuilt my business to fit my life better.

Now I teach others how to do the same — with strategy, systems, and space to breathe.

I didn’t set out to become a business coach.

I just wanted to share what I was learning about making a home — decluttering, decorating, building rhythms that made life feel less chaotic. That little blog turned into a business that helped support my family, led to two traditionally published books (with nearly 20,000 copies sold), and generated over $600K in revenue through a mix of product sales, ad income, book royalties, affiliate earnings, and brand partnerships.

But it also taught me a lot about what not to do.

Like chasing every shiny object instead of staying focused. Getting distracted by what everyone else was doing. Trying to do too much at once. Or focusing on things I couldn’t control. And burning out because I didn’t have the right systems or support in place.

The truth is, I learned the hard way how to build a business that works — and now I help other women skip the mess and find a simpler, smarter way forward.

Here’s what I know for sure:

• We don’t need to do everything — just the things that actually fit our lives
• Burnout isn’t a badge of honor — it’s a red flag
• Simpler strategies almost always work better than complicated ones
• It’s okay to grow slowly (on purpose)
• Selling doesn’t have to feel gross — it can feel like serving
• We can build a business that makes money and leaves room to breathe

This Is Me

  • Wife. Mom of three. Believer.
Home is still my favorite place to be.
  • Creative Business Coach and founder of ShannonAcheson.com.
Helping women build simple, profitable businesses that fit their real lives.
  • Author of two traditionally published books.
With nearly 20,000 copies sold and hearts encouraged in every season of home.
  • Digital product creator + content strategist.
Over $600K earned through ebooks, courses, printables, partnerships, and more.
  • Former homeschool mom turned systems-loving teacher.
I break things down so they actually make sense (and feel doable).
  • Still a big fan of cozy corners, quiet mornings, and rearranging a room just because it feels better that way.
(And I’ll always gently tell you the truth — even if it’s “stop trying to do all the things.”)
